RESTORATIVE NINE-DAY CLEANSING DIET
April 26 through May 5

Join the Ananda Ashland Center and other Ananda communities as we participate in Paramhansa Yogananda’s prescribed cleansing and purification diet. He said this diet of citrus fruits, fresh and cooked vegetables, and "Vitality Beverage" is ideal for ridding the system of poisons.

Since this is a group participation project, we will plan to meet during those nine days to encourage and strengthen each other.

MEDITATION INSTRUCTION AND PRACTICE

Level II Meditation

Intermediate/advanced meditation instruction also is available, as well as training in Kriya Meditation, as described in Yogananda’s spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi.

This has been a wonderful experience for me. The instructor was supportive and helpful as well as very knowledgeable. The benefits of this class will last a lifetime. -- Robert H.

Meditation – Sunday mornings

Group meditation every Sunday at 10AM

Our service includes chanting (devotional affirmations), readings from the Bible and the Baghavada Gita, a half-hour meditation, and group prayers.

Ananda Yoga
Ananda Yoga for Higher Awareness is a powerful yet gentle yoga postures practice that is suitable for everyone -- all ages, all body types. It helps release stress, relax your body, and rejuvenate your mind. Above all, Ananda Yoga is a spiritual practice, not just an exercise regime. It is an invaluable aid to deepening your meditation practice. Ananda Yoga is a perfect blend of spiritual upliftment and physical exhilaration. Classes are taught by Ananda-certified instructors.

With group practice, readings and longer meditations geared especially for Kriyabans, you will find the monthly Kriyaban Meditation blesses and strengthens your own individual practice. If you have taken Kriya Initiation with this path, please join us; help to energize the Sunday morning meditation which follows.

Kirtans
Group chanting sessions. Yogananda says: "Chanting is half the battle!" It's the #1 way to develop devotion! Chant as much as possible. Sound is one of the most important forces in the Universe. And chants, particularly those spiritualized by great masters, have the power to heal and transform. Devotional music works directly on the heart chakra, awakening your natural love of God. Words and music are simple, so it’s easy to join in, and you will be uplifted for days.
